i am affected by crack because i have a boyfriend with a baby mamma on crack for the past 15 years. they have 2 kids and he has raised them and has bee stuggling with her drug addiction. She was arrested and has been in a drug program for the past year. About a month ago she came home - to his house and now i am of course out of the picture. I believe he is an enabler. when she came home, he had a car waiting there for her use. She is on various drugs and seem to be doing well. Although i hope and pray for his sake that she has recovered, from the stories that i am hearing the chances of her recovery seems slim. The reason i am concerned is because he questions me about what i think that he shouild do. has he made the right decision in supporting her - she doesnit work, and doesn't have to because he supplies her with all of her necessities. I think that he should let her face this problem on her own and allow herself to fall a few times so that she could gain the inner strength that she needs.
